#ImpactWrestling Rant for 4/26/12

Eric Bischoff was a part of the train wreck that was Impact Wresling last night.

This was the worst episode of Impact Wrestling I've ever seen and unfortunately I believe there is no end in sight. I really believe the storyline "boot" of Eric Bischoff is just a way to keep pushing Garett who is the number one reason Impact sucks in general right now. I know I've said this time and time again but Garett does not fit. Round hole- square peg, water & oil, cats & dogs living together ;whatever you want to call it but Garett is awful and is being forced into a spotlight that he has neither earned or has the talent to be in. The way Impact Wrestling has looked for the past few months disturbingly reminds me of the last days of WCW. DIXIE CARTER WAKE UP BECAUSE HOGAN & BISCHOFF ARE KILLING YOUR COMPANY AND THE POISON IS GARETT !!!!!!!!! Ok enough dramatics but if this pattern of awful Impact episodes continues the next WWE Invasion angle will be TNA. I said I would give the Open Fight Night a chance and I have read Scott Steiner's twitter rants about this. With that said, OFN sucks and it's because the segments make no sense. Hogan has all the champions in the back accept the Knockout's Tag Team Champions who are considered contenders instead of champions. HEY HOGAN IF THEY'RE WEARING BELTS THEN THEY ARE CHAMPIONS JUST SAYIN' !!!! Sorry I know I said I would stop being dramatic. When this OFN thing was announced I was hoping for less talk and more action but got the opposite. Plus the segments are bad and wait for it...MAKE NO SENSE ! I'm sorry but I'm pissed people. I really should have watched the Sox or the Celtics instead of this steaming pile. The Tag Team Championship format for OFN is probably one of the worst series of segments I've seen on a wrestling show ( outside of Garett Bischoff because he brings suck to a entirely new level) in quite some time. Hogan has these teams in his office and they have to plead their case for a title shot. Hogan actually tells the Motor City Machine Guns that they are eliminated because Sabin needs to rest that knee "brother" or some stupid crap. It's bad enough the MCMG are struggling but do they need to get killed in a backstage segment. But then they are out there doing battle like champs during the final segment to help Baby Bisch against his dad's cronies. Then Hogan eliminates ODB & Eric Young because they have been too busy consummating their marriage and Hogan doesn't feel like they are strong enough for a title shot. Ok so if OFN is about champions having to defend no matter what then why do ODB & Young get a free pass and get considered for a world title shot ? Shouldn't ODB & Young have to defend their titles despite all of their "celebrating" because that is after all the concept of OFN ? Say it with me people : MAKES NO SENSE !!!!! Then to put the stinking turd on top of the cat box, Hogan choses Jeff Hardy & Mr. Anderson over Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian and why you ask ? I'll tell you why and it's sadly ironic : Hogan says that despite Daniels & Kazarian be a cohesive team that Hardy & Anderson are "two of the greatest pieces of talent in TNA Wrestling". Translation : Daniels & Kaz can't possibly be better than Hardy & Anderson because Hardy & Anderson were stars in WWE.This is hilarious for all the wrong reasons. I literally laughed at this because this is Hogan the character killing TNA originals in the storyline as opposed to what he usually does by just killing them behind the scenes and in the press. LMAO. I can't help but be extremely negative as I feel this episode of Impact Wrestling was a turning point and not a good one. I believe TNA Wrestling is heading down a dangerous path which could lead to their ultimate undoing. Another concept I was willing to give a chance and it looks like Scott Steiner got this right too is Gutcheck. This was horrible too. I hope this is not just a way to get Al Snow some air time because that's what it seemed like. And think about it in these terms; AJ Styles was left off the show but we got plenty of Al Snow. Then the Alex Silva vs Robbie E. match was a squash and reminded me of Jose Luis Rivera getting squashed by The Honky Tonk Man on Superstars of Wrestling back in the 80's. TNA plans to do this type of show once a month. I'll just not watch; plain and simple. I guess to make this suckfest complete then I should cover the final segment involving Easy E and Baby Bisch. I'll start by asking, if the match stipulation was Eric Bischoff can no longer use his last name professionally then why is it only blocked out sometimes ? Would you like to say it with me again ? MAKES NO SENSE ! I thought I'd never think this but I thought Ric Flair's promo during this segment was uninspired. It was pretty good but this was not up to Nature Boy standards in my opinion. But I can't blame him because Jack Nicholson or Clint Eastwood would have had problems with this crap. Then Garett and his posse show up. RVD who is the #1 contender going out there for this was just stupid. No reason to have RVD out there playing second banana to Garett other than another pathetic attempt to get Garett over undeservedly. Garett and Jeremy Borash end up locking Easy E in a port-a-potty. Garett dragged his dad to the port-a-potty in a Jason Hervey "Wonder Years" style headlock. They lock him in  and dump it over. Voila, you have Easy E covered in pooh to end Impact Wrestling. Yeah so I've decided I will continue to read the spoilers and if a future OFN looks like a train wreck like I knew this one was but had to see for myself then I will not tune in and will not rant. Until next time...
